The 4th etude written originally for two violins without accompaniment. The known titles for the 8-study collection of etudes are "Etudes-Caprices", and "8 Etudes for Two Violins" Opus 18. There are two commonly performed arrangements with piano including this one by Fritz Kreisler, and another by violinist Zino Francescatti. The solo part in this arrangement has slight alterations from the original Caprice in A minor.
