Originates from "6 Favorite Waltzes of the Queen of France, Marie Louise, J.143-148". This is is the 5th waltz in the set or pieces Written for piano solo in 1812 and rewritten for the violin accompanied by piano by Mr. Burmester. Quite different from Weber's first Waltz, the D major waltz is full of technical double-stops fit for an intermediate player looking to improve his/her use of multiple fingers at a time quickly, and transitioning between pizzicato and arco. There is also moderate use of spiccato and staccato.
