Caprice No. 24 A minor - Theme and Variations - Quasi Presto
By Niccolo Paganini
Paganini had dedicated his last caprice to himself, annotating 'sepolto pur troppo'. Popular arrangements for the twenty-fourth caprice include those by Fritz Kreisler, Leopold Auer, and Robert Schumann for violin and piano, Karol Szymanowski and Franz Liszt for solo piano. The caprice also inspired grand works like Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini op.43.
