Viola Concerto in 'D' minor Op.3 No.6 RV356 (Orig. A minor)

By Antonio Vivaldi

This concerto was originally written in A minor for the violin. However, it is a very useful study piece for viola as well and quite popular. It was published in Vivaldi's L'estro Armonico (The Harmonic Inspiration), a group of 12 concertos for violin as the prominent solo instrument. The set was published in two books, and this concerto comes from 'Libro primo'. The arrangement is a slightly edited version of Tivadar Nachéz's adaptation for violin and piano.
