Kinderszenen, or 'Scenes from Childhood' Opus 15 are thirteen pieces Schumann had composed for the piano. They are also referred to a 'Leichte Stucke' or 'easy pieces' as they are meant to be played by students and youngsters. Friedrich Hermann and Arthur Seybold arranged the 7th and 8th pieces for violin with piano. Hermann's edition is part of a Gutheil set titled Compositions pour le Violon Avec Accompagnement de Piano, where multiple beautiful selections are recommended, such as Beriot Scene de Ballet, Pierne Serenade Op.7, and Faure Berceuse op.16.
