Canon in D and Gigue p37

By Johann Pachelbel

"Kanon und Gigue für drei Violinen und Basso Continuo" is arguably the most well-known piece ever written. Pachelbel's Canon was composed for three violinist with bass, and arranged for countless variations of instrumentation. It was finished around 1680 but not published until 1919 in "Archiv für Musikwissenschaft". The Canon is typically played without the Gigue.
